The furnace is on, the Christmas Market at Fort Edmonton Park opens November 27, and this is the time of year a lot of us sit down and budget lashes through New Year’s. The trouble is that every Edmonton studio posts its own menu and nobody lines them up. And the set price isn’t really the price. Whether you live in Callingwood, Lewis Estates, The Hamptons or Glastonbury, or you drive in from Oliver, here are the real numbers side by side, plus the part that decides your bill: the fills.

Every number below comes from each studio’s own published menu, read on October 17, 2026. Where a studio doesn’t publish a price, the cell shows a dash instead of a guess.

Prices checked October 17, 2026, before tax and tip. Studios change prices, so always confirm on their sites. For a wider view, Fresha’s Edmonton page, which lists 41 venues, says a full set typically costs between $35 and $165.

Why such a spread? These are good studios with different set-ups. A downtown storefront pays downtown rent. A bigger team often prices senior and junior artists differently. A front desk, walk-in availability and a long list of specialty styles all cost something. A one-on-one home studio skips most of that, which is the honest reason its numbers sit lower.

The set is the down payment, the fill is the rent

Here’s the number almost nobody shows you. Lash extensions shed with your natural lashes, so you don’t buy a set once; you keep it with fills. If you get a set at week 0 and fill at weeks 3, 6 and 9, you’re covered to about week 12. Using each studio’s published prices, before tax and tip, that looks like this:

12 weeks of lashes (set + 3 fills)LowestHighest
Classic$205 (Mari Esthetics: $70 + 3 × $45)$385 (Glass + Skin)
Hybrid$225 (Mari Esthetics: $90 + 3 × $45)$475 (Urban Brows)
Volume$265 (Mari Esthetics: $100 + 3 × $55)$810 (Urban Brows)

In between, classic runs $250 at Hannah’s, $280 at Studio Vanassa, $335 at Urban Brows, $340 at Pretty In The City and $345 at Honeypot. Volume runs $390 at Studio Vanassa, $480 at Glass + Skin, $500 at Pretty In The City and $510 at Honeypot. Treat it as illustrative: your real fill timing depends on your own shed, and lashes do tend to shed faster in fall (here’s why November fills come sooner). The point stands, though. Twelve weeks of volume lashes costs anywhere from $265 to $810 in the same city, and the fills, not the set, make most of that difference.

Fill, mini fill or new set? The rules that change your total

A fill is only a fill if you arrive inside the studio’s window. Miss it and you can pay full-set price without changing anything else. Studio Vanassa, for example, publishes fills within 1–3 weeks with at least 40% left and treats anything past 4 weeks as a new service at full price. Honeypot separates a fill (2–4 weeks) from a cheaper mini fill (0–2 weeks). A mini fill isn’t a bargain if you’re booking it every 10 days, though.

At Mari Esthetics, the rules are on the booking menu: fills every 2–3 weeks, and you should arrive with at least 40–50% of your extensions. If fewer than 40% remain, or it’s been more than 4 weeks (Classic and Volume) or more than 3 weeks (Hybrid), a full set may be required. Keeping your set full through dry winter and the holiday fills is mostly about booking inside that window.

A Mexican salon-pricing guide from Glami, updated this week, gives lash artists one piece of advice we love: write your fill rules on your price list and say them when the client books, not when she pays. That’s the standard to hold any Edmonton studio to, including us.

Six questions to ask before you pay a deposit

Edmonton Google reviews of lash studios keep circling the same few surprises: a prepayment nobody explained, an add-on mentioned only after the lashes were on, and a set finished in under an hour and a half. Six questions at booking prevent most of it.

  1. Is the price before tax?
  2. Do wet, wispy, coloured or extra-long lashes cost more, and when will you tell me?
  3. What counts as a fill and what counts as a new set here?
  4. Do you fill another studio’s work, and at what price?
  5. How long is a full set appointment?
  6. What happens if lashes come off in the first few days?

Our answers, straight from the booking menu: a Classic Set is booked for 120 minutes, a Hybrid Set for 135 and a Volume Set for 150. The $25 deposit is credited to your total. The fill rules are the ones above. For anything else on that list, mention it when you book and Mari will tell you before your appointment, not after.

Price isn’t the only thing worth asking about. The American Academy of Ophthalmology suggests asking about the salon’s reputation and hygiene, the technician’s training, and what’s in the adhesive, and reading reviews before you book.

Which set gives you the most for your money?

The cheapest set is the one that suits your lashes. Spain’s Gaze Institute tells first-timers not to ask for a style but for a diagnosis, often starting with a classic or a soft hybrid. That matches what we see:

  • First set or a natural look: Classic Set, $70 for about 120 minutes. One extension per natural lash, like good mascara.
  • A little more texture: Hybrid Set, $90 for about 135 minutes. If you’re nervous about the first visit, here’s what happens at a first appointment.
  • Sparse or fine lashes, or you want fluffy: Volume Set (2D–5D), $100 for about 150 minutes. Lightweight fans can look fuller per dollar on fine lashes. Tempted by DIY clusters instead? We did the DIY cluster math already.

Quick answers

How much are lash extensions in Edmonton? At the studios we checked on October 17, 2026, a full set runs about $100–$130 classic, $120–$170 hybrid and $150–$225 volume. At Mari Esthetics in West Edmonton it’s $70, $90 and $100.

How much is a lash fill in Edmonton? Published 2–3-week fills run $60–$85 for classic, $70–$110 for hybrid and $80–$195 for volume. Ours are $45 for a Classic or Hybrid Fill and $55 for a Volume Fill.

Why is volume more expensive than classic? Volume uses fans of several fine extensions on each natural lash, which takes more product and more time. Our Volume Set is $100 for about 150 minutes, compared with $70 and about 120 minutes for Classic.

How often will I pay for fills? Every 2–3 weeks for most people. Arrive with at least 40–50% of your extensions left so it still counts as a fill.

How much is the deposit for lash extensions at Mari Esthetics? $25 for any set or fill, and it’s credited to your total. Other studios set their own deposit rules, so ask when you book. Book here.
